Grant Proposal:
SMART Girls(Skills Mastery and Resistance Training) is a health, fitness, prevention/education and self-esteem enhancement program for girls ages 8-17. The program focuses on issues specific to female club members and is designed to encourage healthy attitudes and lifestyles that will enable those members to develop to their full potential.
Purpose of Agency:
To enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.
Circle of Support Inc.
$5,000 Dallas Women’s Foundation Spring Grant
Grant Proposal:
To fund the 2007 Girl SMART Summering Learning Program, which will be extended for an additional two weeks from years past due to recent changes in Texas State Law that now require all Texas public schools to begin no earlier than the third Monday of August.
Purpose of Agency:
To equip girls in Southern Dallas with academic, leadership and life skills to become productive and responsible citizens.

To support general operating expenses for the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) accredited child-care program.
Purpose of Agency:
The Dallas Bethlehem Center is dedicated to improving the quality of life for the children of the South Dallas Community. We will work to strengthen the entire family structure by providing holistic services for each child's mental, spiritual, physical, and emotional needs.
The Vogel Alcove

The Alcove offers a Parenting Program that is open to all mothers and caregivers whose children attend the center, and provides resources and education that the referring shelters often times do not provide.
Purpose of Agency:
To help alleviate the plight of homelessness in Dallas.To achieve this mission, the Vogel Alcove works to improve the lives of young homeless children during their critical developmental years through the provision of free quality childcare, developmental services, and social services.
Girls Inc. of Metropolitan Dallas
$1,000 Sherry Adair Donor Advised Fund Grant
Grant Proposal:
Funds would support the Investment of a Lifetime scholarship program.
Purpose of Agency:
Girls Incorporated of Metropolitan Dallas inspires all girls to be Strong, Smart and Bold by empowering girls to take charge of their lives. It provides female focused programs which encourage youth to discover their potential and grow in a sense of responsibility to self, family and community.
Our Friends' Place

Grant Proposal:
To support a milieu therapist at the Therapeutic Group Home (TGH). TGH provides a safe haven and early intervention for abused, neglected, and abandoned girls, ages 10-17.
Purpose of Agency:
Our Friends' Place is dedicated to providing a foundation for girls and young women to build from adversity by learning a self-reliant approach to their own development.
Plano ISD Education Foundation
$6,800 CREW Grant

Grant Proposal:
To fund two teaching assistants who are essential to the team teaching moms and their pre-schoolers English literacy and social skills and the importance of mothers' supporting their children's education.
Purpose of Agency:
To build healthy families by working with the entire family unit developing life skills, literacy skills and a strong commitment to family wholeness.
Texas HOPE Literacy, Inc.
$8,000 Lori Feehan Donor Advised Fund Grant

To support agency operations for a literacy program targeting women within the Texas prison system.
Purpose of Agency:
Texas HOPE Literacy is a unique, faith-based organization dedicated to empowering at-risk individuals to become successful citizens through education, skills training, and community service programs within the Texas Prison System.
