COMMERCIAL SEXUAL EXPLOITATION OF CHILDREN (CSEC)

The Dallas Women’s Foundation (DWF) strengthens the entire community by increasing the investment in women and girls and empowering women’s philanthropy.  In 2010, the DWF Board of Directors adopted an impact model grounded in an explicit understanding of social change. Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Girls was identified by a board taskforce as a critical issue at the beginning of a social change cycle* with enormous consequences for girls in North Texas.

“Much like domestic violence 30 years ago, commercial sexual exploitation of girls is often misunderstood and overlooked, yet is a harsh reality for too many young girls.”
Becky Sykes, CEO Dallas Women’s Foundation
