Dallas Women's Foundation Volunteer Committees
- Development Committee
- Finance Committee
- Spring Grants Committee
- Fall Grants Committee
- Investment Advisory Committee
- Marketing/PR Committee
- Luncheon Committee
The Development Committee is responsible for raising the funds necessary for operations, grants and endowment growth. It oversees the Annual Campaign (spring), and year-end mailings, planned giving, major gifts/endowment campaign and corporate contributions. Meets quarterly.

FINANCE COMMITTEE
This committee meets monthly to review monthly financial statements and to supervise monthly operating and cash flow positions. It directs the annual budget and projection process, oversees endowment pledges and establishes comprehensive financial strategy. The committee also reviews the annual audit and sets various financial policies for the Foundation. Limited to those with specific financial backgrounds and CPA's.

GRANTS COMMITTEE
The Grants Committee researches grant requests twice yearly (spring/fall) with a separate committee for each season and makes recommendations to the Board for grants distributions and grant-making policies. Concentrated time commitment in March and September.

INVESTMENT ADVISORY COMMITTEE
This committee selects and oversees the manager of the Foundation's investments (currently almost $5 million). Also reviews and sets investment policies. Limited to those with specific investment experience. Meets quarterly.

MARKETING/PR COMMITTEE
The Marketing/PR Committee oversees the public positioning of the Foundation, including event publicity, newsletter, website and annual report. Development of an overall marketing plan is the main task this year.

LUNCHEON COMMITTEE
The Luncheon Committee organizes and implements the Foundation's major fundraising event, its annual luncheon, held in late November or early December. Committee members may serve as solicitors for corporate and individual table sales or as volunteers on the logistics side of the luncheon (hotel and speaker arrangements, program, etc.).
