Grants

The Dallas Women's Foundation promotes women’s philanthropy and raises money to support community programs that help women and girls realize their full potential.

To be eligible to receive a grant from the Foundation, applicants must meet all of the following criteria:

  1. Be in receipt of a current 501(c)(3) tax-exempt designation from the Internal Revenue Service (dated within the last 10 years).
  2. At least 50% of the population served must be residents of Dallas, Denton, or Collin County, with priority given to organizations serving residents of Dallas County
  3. 75% of the clients benefiting from the grant funding must be women and/or girls.

Funding Priorities
Priority will be given to funding programs that include elements of the following:

  • Effect long-term, positive changes to help women succeed in reaching their full potential
  • Expanded choices and opportunities for women and girls
  • Evaluation tools that include measurement for effectiveness with clear definition of program success
  • Programs specifically designed to take into consideration the gender-specific needs and differences of women and girls.

The Foundation also encourages projects developed in consultation and collaboration with other agencies, and which promote coordination, cooperation and sharing among organizations. Effective use of volunteers, as well as Board diversity and involvement, are equally encouraged.
