In 1985, a group of 19 ordinary women gathered, seeking to create extraordinary change for women and girls. They were drawn together by a common concern: the lack of an ongoing, dependable source of funding to address the unique needs of women and girls. That was the genesis of the Dallas Women's Foundation (DWF), which has created remarkable changes in the community, and in the lives of not only those who give but also those who receive.
