DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE
The Development Committee identifies, educates, cultivates, and stewards qualified donors. They specifically target individuals, corporations, and foundation investors, with an emphasis on lifetime giving. This committee meets monthly.
FINANCE COMMITTEE
The Finance Committee reviews the Foundation’s financial statements and cash positions, specifically:
- Directing the annual budgeting process and providing other critical planning information such as financial forecasts and projections.
- Establishing financial policies and acting as the Foundation’s audit committee by reviewing the annually audited financial statements and facilitating auditor communications.
- Performing a due diligence review of financial information provided to the Foundation by all grant applicants.
Committee membership is limited to CPAs and individuals with financial expertise. This committee meets monthly.
GRANTS COMMITTEE
The Grants Committee researches grant requests twice yearly (spring/fall) with a separate committee for each season, and makes recommendations to the Board for grants distributions. This committee requires concentrated time commitments in March and September.
INVESTMENT ADVISORY COMMITTEE
This committee selects and oversees the manager of the Foundation's investments as well as reviewing and setting investment policies. The Investment Advisory Committee is limited to those with specific investment experience. This committee meets quarterly.
MARKETING COMMITTEE
The Marketing Committee builds awareness, understanding, and support of the Dallas Women’s Foundation. This committee meets monthly.
The Luncheon Committee organizes and implements the Foundation's major fundraising event: its annual luncheon. Committee members may serve as solicitors for corporate and individual table sales, or in-kind donations.
